When you apply for your 2027 Georgia GOAL tax credit, you can help make their dreams of a bright future come true.

The Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program allows Georgia taxpayers to redirect a portion of their state income taxes to the independent school of their choice.

By designating your contribution to Roberts Academy, you directly, positively, and significantly impact the life of a Roberts Academy student and their family.

The deadline to apply is Dec. 31, but don't wait! In celebration of Dyslexia Awareness Month in October, submit your application today!

Meet our 5th grade teachers, Mrs. Kim Greenlee and Ms. Lo**ta Moore! These amazing educators began their second year at Roberts Academy in August.

With more than 13 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Greenlee brings a wealth of expertise in early elementary and intervention instruction.

She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education and is certified in general and special education (K–5) with endorsements in Teaching and Support Coaching and ESOL. She has also completed Orton-Gillingham and Lexia LETRS training.

Ms. Moore brings more than 20 years of classroom teaching experience and a passion for helping students become confident, skilled readers.

She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education and is certified in general and special education (Pre-K–5) with a Teaching Support and Coaching endorsement.

She is also an Orton-Gillingham Academy Associate-level certified educator with extensive training in structured literacy, morphology, and Orton-Gillingham math.

Both teachers share a commitment to research-based, multisensory instruction and the science of reading, making them wonderful members of the Roberts Academy team.

August was filled with joy, excitement and reunion as we welcomed our students back to school!

Highlights from the month included:

🐾 Our certified therapy dogs, Sammie and Louie, being reunited with their Cubs.

📣 Mercer cheerleaders welcoming our students back to school on Aug. 12.

🌳 Our middle schoolers enjoying their outdoor space during break time.

💪 Our third graders living out their classroom motto: “We Can Do Hard Things!”

🏃 Our students enjoying Movement Lab, an essential part of the school day.

💻 Our middle schoolers exploring coding with Dr. Bob Allen, professor and co-chair of Mercer’s computer science program.

The faculty, staff, and students at Roberts Academy were saddened to hear about the passing of music legend and literacy advocate, Dolly Parton.

Today, we remember Dolly for her love of children and literacy.

Since founding the Imagination Library in 1995, she helped put more than ✨325 million books ✨ into the hands of children around the world.

We’re especially grateful for the way she embodied the values we hope to instill in our students: kindness, gratitude, grit and grace.

Thank you, Dolly, for giving generations of children the gift of music and books!
