🏈🧡 MACON TIGER FOOTBALL SENIOR SPOTLIGHT 🖤🐾

Today we’re celebrating #17 Parker Wood and his senior season as a Macon Tiger!

Parker’s love for football started at 7 years old, when he first stepped onto the field to play flag football. What began as a childhood game has grown into years of hard work, dedication, friendships, and a passion for the sport he loves. 🏈

Football has also become a special family experience for Parker, with his dad joining the Tiger coaching staff in 2025. While sharing the sidelines with his dad makes these Friday nights even more meaningful, Parker has continued to put in the work and build his own journey as a Macon Tiger. 🧡🖤

Help us show Parker some Tiger love as he makes the most of his final season, celebrating the years of memories, commitment, and love for the game that brought him here!

Students in Mr. Anderson’s 8th-grade Social Studies class recently got a firsthand lesson in civics and local government!

As part of the lesson, students explored the history of the county sheriff, learned how sheriffs are elected to office, and examined the differences between law enforcement agencies and the duties they perform.

Deputy Noyes, our School Resource Officer, partnered with Mr. Anderson for the lesson, sharing his experience and expertise to help bring the topic to life. Students also had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with Deputy Noyes and ask questions about law enforcement and the role of the sheriff’s office.

A big thank you to Deputy Noyes for helping give our students a real-world look at local government and public service!

Macon Tigerettes will play Mexico in the first round of districts Thursday at 4p.m., at Mexico.

The Tigerettes have a night off to prepare for districts. As we wind down our regular season we have some players to recognize.
Eva Thurnau is a freshman middle infielder. She has been working hard to expand her role on the team to include more positions after mostly catching in middle school.
Eva enjoys playing the the violin/fiddle. Her favorite pet is her horse, "Bird".
Her favorite food is steak cooked medium well.
Eva's dream job is to become a veterinarian and to live in Wyoming.
Her avorite holiday is Christmas, "because my family comes together and has a good time opening gifts and playing games."

The Tigerettes recognized Pink Out Cancer awareness night this week. The girls wore their pancreatic cancer awareness t-shirts to school and purple ribbons to honor their former travel coach, and softball supporter, Jason Miller who is fighting right now. We are thinking if you Jason!
