WIU Camp Rocky

Congrats to our Camp Rocky RPTH students who graduated today!

And with that, Camp Rocky 2025 has come to an end! We'd like to once again thank all the campers for coming out, our lovely sponsors for helping to make this possible, and the WIU Horn Field Campus staff and facilitators for running the High Ropes Course! Without you all, we couldn't have put on the amazing program that we all saw last weekend.

Camp Rocky ended on a high note with day two! We enjoyed a yummy breakfast of French toast, bacon and oranges then played a fun game of ninja. The highlight of our morning was working with the WIU Horn Field Campus facilitators on the high ropes course. We started with ground school learning how clip into and on all the cables then we moved up the ladder and zipped down the line. We ended the morning with a few team building activities and said good bye to our camp counselors as campers left with cool crafts and fun memories. Thanks for joining us again for a fun Camp Rocky. Western Illinois University Camp Rocky 2025 is here and we are having a great first day together! We did a lot today! We learned how to build a fire, how to watch out for ticks and poison ivy, we made sensory jars and painted rocks, THEN we ate delicious quesadillas and of course s’mores. We ended our day with a night hike where we listened to owls and saw a few stars peaking through the clouds. Time to get some sleep before we do more fun things tomorrow.
