Gregg House

Last month, we gathered with so many incredible community members, families, partners, and supporters to celebrate the groundbreaking of our new Early Learning Center. Thank you to everyone who came out to share in this special moment with us.

This groundbreaking is more than the start of construction; it’s the beginning of a new chapter for Gregg House and a promise to the children and families we serve. Our new Early Learning Center will create more opportunities, strengthen our community, and help us continue building a brighter future for generations to come.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has believed in this vision and helped us get here. Together, we’re not just building a new center; we’re building the future of Gregg House and the future of our community. 💚🏗️

Our community partners recently received state funding to support their ongoing efforts to address food insecurity and strengthen food access in our communities. We are proud to support these investments and grateful for the Commonwealth’s continued commitment to addressing hunger, particularly during these challenging times.

We’re proud to share that Gregg House has been awarded a $3,000 grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation (DGLF) to support our youth literacy program, Read to Rise!📚💚

Through Read to Rise, we work with children in kindergarten through fifth grade who are reading below grade level, providing individualized tutoring and meaningful opportunities to strengthen their reading skills and build confidence.

This generous grant will help us expand the program and provide more children with access to the targeted support, educational resources, and encouragement they need to grow as readers.

At Gregg House, we believe literacy is one of the most important foundations we can give a child. Every child deserves the opportunity to become a confident, successful reader, and we’re grateful to the Dollar General Literacy Foundation for investing in our children and helping us create brighter futures through the power of literacy. 📖💚

For foster parent Rachelle Williams, Gregg House has been more than a childcare center; it has been a place of comfort, connection, and support for her family during important moments in their lives.

As she shared her family’s experience at our groundbreaking, Rachelle spoke from the heart about the people who have welcomed, supported, and cared for her family along the way.

“The center and the people in it became part of our village.”

Her words capture what Gregg House means to so many families in Lynn: a community where children are known, families are supported, and no one has to navigate their journey alone. We are so grateful to Rachelle for sharing her story and helping us celebrate the heart behind this new chapter for Gregg House. 💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us today to celebrate the groundbreaking of our new Early Learning Center! We are so excited for the future of Gregg House and what this new space will mean for children and families in Lynn.

A special thank you to our incredible speakers: Senator Brendan Creighton, EEC Commissioner Amy Kershaw, Mayor Jared Nicholson, Rachelle Williams, and Chief Executive Officer Kelly O’Connor for sharing in this special moment with us.

And a HUGE thank you to the design and construction teams helping bring this vision to life: Studio G, Scalora, Connolly Brothers Construction, and Mennino Construction. We couldn’t do this without your partnership, expertise, and dedication!

Today marks the beginning of something truly special. We are building the future for the children and families of Lynn! 🏗️💚
