Congratulations to Tyler Deese for winning first place in the SkillsUSA district championships in the Maintenance and Light repair competition and Clay Jackson for finishing 3rd place in the Automotive Service Technology competition. We also want to thank CMA’s Cdjr of Lynchburg and Terry VW Subaru for providing the venue and judges. We truly appreciate our business and industry partners.

Bedford County Public Schools would like to thank Bedford Area Educational Foundation for their continued support of BCPS and our entire community. Because of their generous donors they were able to fully or partially fund $20,000 in applications, contributing to the total $65,000 that they have granted or pledged in total throughout 2024 for teachers and staff. They have funded or supported everything from mental health initiatives (Kimochi & C.A.S.T), tools for coding and digital books that students can create, light tables, music equipment, camera equipment, watersheds, and many many more. Without their contributing foundations, their impact would not allow these wonderful additions in our educational system.

The first round of grant applications for 2025 are due February 1 and we are so excited to hear the ideas our staff have to continue to provide opportunities for learning in meaningful ways!

It’s always an absolute pleasure to visit Elementary Schools to share with students what career opportunities await them in the future. Montvale was no exception. Thank you Montvale Patriots for having us.

What an amazing opportunity shared with the senior class today! Student technicians got to shadow the professionals at CMA’s CJDR and Terry VW Subaru of Lynchburg.

I got to spend time with Bradley Cooper and family as he graduated from aviation maintenance school. So very proud to see another graduate taking the next steps in their career in the transportation cluster.

I had the pleasure of speaking to the wildcats of Stewartsville elementary school today about the opportunities that await them in High School through the amazing programs at Susie G Gibson Science and Technology Center. GO WILDCATS!!!

Hello Friends! Our program had a pre-order pie sale this past weekend and we made some extras to do walk-up sales as well. Unfortunately, only the pies we sold were picked up. If you still need pies for the holiday, or just really have a hankering for one of our scratch made pies, come out tomorrow and get some. The sales directly support our program with equipment, product, and the college visit we go on every year. Thank you in advance for any and all help!

What an honor to welcome back Seth Robertson, graduate of the class of ‘20. Seth came by to talk to students about his journey since graduating. He spoke about his time with NASCAR as a member of a pit crew and he is now with team Lamborghini.
