Luverne BackPack Program Enriching childrens lives one bite at a time. BackPack Program bags include 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 snacks, 1 fresh fruit, and 1 fruit juice.

The Luverne BackPack Program began in April 2009 as a direct response to the needs of hungry kids in our community. They are sent home with children who are at-risk of going hungry over the weekend. During the 2009-2010 school year we served 78 kids in the Luverne Elementary School. Today, we are serving 128 elementary kids and 37 pre-schoolers. Our program relies solely on donations. For only $13

0.00 you can provide a child a bag of food everyweek for an entire school year. The Luverne BackPack Program also sponsors a Summer Food Service Program that provides breakfast and lunch during the summer months.
