National Fire Academy:
Fire Investigation for the First Responder
Class will be offered at Robeson Community College main campus room 709
Friday September 1, 2026 6:30pm to 10:30pm
Saturday September 12, 2026 8am to 6pm
This 2-day course covers a basic overview of a fire investigation for the first responder. Students will participate in a live lecture that will review the basics of fire chemistry and develop an understanding of the role of the first responder in relation to fire suppression and fire investigation.
This course also stresses the importance of fire scene awareness, evidence identification, preservation and the basics of fire chemistry. Students will develop an appreciation for the convergence of suppression, investigation, science and law.

This class is part of the Pine Terrace Fire Rescue weekend. A $35.00 dollar registration fee applies to this course. Registration fee should be paid to the Pine Terrace Fire Department 38 Waynes Road Lumberton, NC 28358
