We couldn’t close out our Mommy & Me Prom posts without recognizing the people behind Beyond the Diagnosis Foundation. 💜

This photo isn’t our entire board, but it represents a team of people who continue to give their time, ideas, energy, and hearts to this mission.

Our community gets to see the beautiful nights, the smiles, the dancing and the memories being made. Behind those moments are meetings, planning, phone calls, running errands, solving problems, changing plans at the last minute, and a whole lot of teamwork.

We’re still growing. We’re still learning. And with every event, we’re learning how to serve our families even better.

To every member of our board, pictured and not pictured, thank you. Thank you for believing in this mission, for showing up, and for helping turn ideas into real experiences for families raising children with disabilities.

Beyond the Diagnosis was never meant to be about one person. It takes a team, and we’re incredibly thankful for ours.

And then… we got to PARTY. 💜

Seeing these pictures makes me emotional because this is the part everyone gets to see, but there were so many hours, phone calls, donations, volunteers, late nights, last-minute changes, and people simply saying “yes” that happened before we ever opened those doors.

And it was worth every bit of it.

Our moms and their babies danced the night away. We had our 360 photo booth, bloom bar, plant-your-own-flower station, cotton candy cart, hair and makeup, a special mom-and-child dance, our kids vs. moms dance-off, a sensory room for anyone who needed a break, and SO much food.

There was dancing. There was laughter. There were kids being completely themselves. There were moms getting to dress up, take pictures, eat, dance with their babies, and just enjoy the night without having to explain their child to anyone.

For a few hours, I just wanted our families to walk into a room that was created with THEM in mind.
Looking around that dance floor and seeing everyone laughing, dancing, eating, taking pictures, planting flowers, and making memories together… THAT was the whole reason we did this.

These families truly bloomed right in front of us. 🌸💜
And I think these pictures tell the story better than I ever could.

Whether you donated your time, brought something special to the night, kept things moving, or simply asked “what do you need me to do?” it mattered.

So much love, time, and work went into making this night special for our families.

A HUGE thank you to Grey Star Events for the absolutely beautiful décor and for helping bring our vision to life. Every detail was beautiful, and walking in and seeing everything come together was such a special moment.

And thank you to every sponsor who gave, every vendor who showed up, and every volunteer who jumped in wherever they were needed. So many hands helped make this night possible, and we truly could not have done it without you.

After everyone left prom tonight, we had one more stop to make. 🥹💜

We had cupcakes left over, and instead of letting them go to waste, we took them to our local Lufkin Fire Department. These men and women do so much for our community, and it felt good to end such a special night by giving a little something back to the people who are always there when our community needs them.

And a HUGE thank you to Yoki's Mexican Cuisine for donating the cupcakes in the first place. Your kindness didn’t just bless our families at prom tonight, it got to travel a little further. 🥹 My heart is very full tonight. What a community we have. 💜

PROM IS TOMORROW! Please read this before heading our way. 🌸

First, the venue! Apple Maps may not pull up the correct location, so please use the address:

📍 1430 N Temple Dr., Diboll, TX 75941
It’s the old JR’s Barn in Diboll! If your GPS is giving you trouble, look for the old JR’s Barn property rather than searching the venue name.

Volunteers: Please arrive at 4 PM and confirm that you’re still coming.

Attendees: Please arrive at 6 PM. Everyone has been sent a text and email to confirm attendance. Please respond so we know to expect you!

If you signed up for hair and makeup, you should have received a separate message with your specific arrival time.

And then we get to have FUN. We’ll have a 360 photo booth, bloom bar, grow-your-own-flower station, cotton candy cart, a special mom + child dance, kids vs. moms dance-off and plenty of food. Trust me, you’re not leaving hungry. 😂

We’ve put so much into making tomorrow special for these families, and we cannot wait to finally see everyone! 💜

WE ARE OFFICIALLY TWO DAYS AWAY! 💐💜

With over 100 attendees registered for our Mommy & Me Prom, we’ve been working hard to make sure our families feel celebrated from the second they walk through the doors.

And this year, that starts with the AMAZING XLR8 Gymnastics team! 📣

As our moms and kiddos arrive, the XLR8 Gymnastics team will be lined up at the entrance with pom-poms, cheering them on and giving every family the grand entrance they deserve. 🥹

It may seem like a small detail, but this is exactly what this night is about. We want our kiddos to walk in and immediately feel like this night was made FOR THEM. We are so thankful to XLR8 Gymnastics for helping us create that moment.

We want our volunteers in on the fun too! We’ll have extra pom-poms available for anyone who wants to join the welcome line and help us cheer! 💜

And once you’re inside, there will be plenty of opportunities to capture the memories! Shellie Clark Photography is returning again this year, LALDE Productions (Rogelio Angel Olalde) will be capturing video throughout the evening, and Simply Sweet Weddings by Misty will have a 360 Photo Booth ready for our families.

Thank you, XLR8 Gymnastics, for helping us start the night with the kind of energy, excitement, and love our families deserve.
