Is it ok to use blood in spells. Absolutely. Blood has been used for centuries in magic. It is an offering to the gods, goddesses, dieties etc. You can use your own blood, or someone else's. In some spells menstrual blood is used or blood from an animal. Depending on what spell you are doing. I personally use my own blood for spell work. Which ever you choose, you only need a few drops.

Should St.Patrick be celebrated? He's brandished as being a saint. By Christians, of course. He repelled serpents from Ireland and formed Christianity there. But, in reality, he forced them to turn. When the Pagan priests and Druids refused, he murdered them. How is this being a saint? I don't believe so. I was raised Irish Roman Catholic. I should know better than to renounce him. But, I do. He's as far as I am concerned, nothing but a murderer**

We are all goddesses of a different time reborn. They call us witches. No matter how old we are, we will always remember the past. If you let yourself. I like to put myself in a trance to do this. Smoking Mugwort helps induce it. I have had many lives. Same with you. Some of them, due to the way I died, is frightening. But I overcame the fear and was able to become the person I am now.
