Monterey High School 1976 Reunion

Was checking to see how many of guys are on Medicare and if so which supplemental program do you have. I was the baby of the bunch so I don’t turn 65 until November. I’m applying on August 1st. Currently I have a personal policy with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas that is grandfathered. I haven’t been able to work since 2-7-2020 due to a really bad fall. Our savings has been drained. I have been asking for advice and it just dawned on me that y’all would be the best source for info. Help!!!

When is the reunion?

We lost yet another classmate to Covid. Carlton Devlin, he was in hospital with Covid. Started getting better had a heart attack and died on Sept 19. He was a classmate but he was also married to my Cousin, Lisa Winters who lost her battle with Cancer in the Brain about 6 years ago. Carlton had a daughter Hayle from his first marriage and twin boys Nathan and Treavor with Lisa. He was a fantastic Dad. We are all devastated, 😞
Carlton and Lisa both graduated from Monterey and Tech.

Update on the passing of our sweet and dear friend, Tom West🙏😢💙. I just called Sanders Funeral Home and found out the details . Graveside service next Thursday, January 21 at 2:00 at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Family only! Then this summer they're doing a memorial service open to the public. Will get details out on that.
You can send flowers to Sanders Funeral Home and they will take them to the cemetery on Thursday. Also I think as classmates we should donate to where Tom worked (Community Health Center of Lubbock). They provide health services for the less fortunate. You can donate on their website. Chclubbock.org

I have all of these “Monterey Mirrors” Vol. 18 and Vol 20 from our sophomore and senior year. I don’t have all of them but have about 20. I can’t bare to toss them but really need to w**d through stuff. I’m not in any of them and even if I was my kids and grand kids are not going to want them. I’ll mail them to whoever might want them. Does anybody know how to get a hold of Malcolm Ward and Ric Vandiver? There is a baseball reunion this summer and the class of ‘74 is looking for these guys.
