🎓 Celebrating Leadership & Service!

The Lubbock Christian School Chapter of the National Honor Society kicked off the 2026–2027 school year with 30 members—23 seniors and 7 juniors. Members reviewed upcoming activities and the chapter’s commitment to completing 10 hours of volunteer service throughout the year.

Congratulations to our newly elected NHS officers! We look forward to seeing how you lead, serve, and make a difference in our school and community. 💙💛

☕️🇪🇸 Spanish 2 & 3 wrapped up their review of last year’s skills with a fun coffee shop adventure!

Students practiced inviting friends to coffee, choosing a location, giving directions, making recommendations, ordering in Spanish, discussing costs, and planning their next outing—all in Spanish! 🗣️☕️

Señora Garcia couldn’t have been more proud of how confidently her students conversed and excelled in their conversations! ¡Excelente trabajo! 👏🎉

🌎🗺️ Our 4th graders are exploring the world! Students have been learning about the seven continents, five oceans, latitude and longitude, the Equator, and the Prime Meridian. 🌍📚

We’re building a love for geography and preparing our students to understand the world around them—so one day they can take the Gospel wherever God calls them. ❤️✝️

My next monthly Lunch Church will be 11:45am August 26 at the Lubbock Professional Firefighters Association Hall at 8517 Urbana.

Lubbock Christian High School President Hutch Haley will speak.

With school starting a new year, Haley will bless the crowd with God's word.

A former Coach, Teacher and Parent of students, Haley has insight on how any parent is feeling right now.

In his first stint at Lubbock Christian, Haley coached 17 years winning TAPPS State Football and Girls Basketball Championships.

💙 This week, our senior Dual Credit English students visited Carillon Retirement Center to wrap up our summer reading of Theo of Golden.

Inspired by Theo’s “bestowals,” students spent time getting to know a resident through conversation, listening, and learning their story. This was just part one! On August 31, students will return to share a special gift of writing and photography inspired by their conversations.

We’re grateful to the residents and staff at Carillon for welcoming us! Stay tuned in early September to see the bestowals come to life. 💛

A retreat filled with faith, fellowship and memories! 💙💛Our high school eagle spent time at White River youth camp growing closer, encouraging one another and making memories that will last long after the retreat. 🦅✨We're so thankful for this time to unplug connect and MAXOUT every moment together!
