The LISD Social Worker Team spent their Monday morning helping sort and store over 50 donation bags. These precious souls are on the front line every day and see first hand how your generosity moves from one hand directly into the hands of kids who need it.
Thank you to your and your team, Destynee. We can’t wait to serve you and all of the Weat Texas Educators on August 1st at our Treat An Educator! event.

It’s been a busy but incredible start to the week. The work and provision started early on Monday, with Claudia Martinez - Farmers Insurance Agency connecting us to Burlington Coat Factory who donated clothing racks. Matthew with Benavides Tree Trimming & Removal brought his team to pick up and then unload all twenty racks that will be used for our Treat An Educator! event on August 1st. Educators, mark your calendars!
FOUND. would not run without local businesses donating their time, connections and resources, so we thank you for your support!
More to come…

We’ve received so many great donations lately!!
Reminder: we do take blankets/comforters and towels. Many of the students and sibling sets we serve are in need of those items as well.
Thank you all for cleaning out your closets and donating to this effort … we are often able to give an entire week’s worth of clothing: shoes, socks, shorts/pants, shirts/hoodies and jackets to every kids in need!! Because of that, we fly through your donations. Keep them coming!

We clothed 7 kids today.
Each with a week’s worth of clothing.
Several needed shoes and socks and underwear too.
We had it all.
“This little kid is about to look FLY” - volunteer pictured below.
Thank you for helping us live out our belief that every student is WORTHY of having their basic needs met. ✨✨✨
We’ve got a long way to go before we have everything in order … but it’s all in one place and we are SO EXCITED about the future.
As summer starts … if you take time to clean out your closets please keep us in mind and spread the word. We’ve got more space now, so we can expand our impact. The best is yet to come! 🫶🏽

On Mother’s Day, we’re especially grateful for the hearts and hands behind this work.
So much of what we do happens through people with the heart of a Mom.
The hearts of volunteers who show up faithfully to sort, pack, organize, deliver, and respond quickly when children in our community have needs.
The hearts of educators who care for students far beyond academics …. doing the mother thing … noticing when a child is hungry, struggling, overwhelmed, or simply needing to feel seen and safe.
A snack bag.
Clean clothes.
School supplies.
Encouragement.
Care.
Small things that remind a child: you matter.
Today we honor every mother, every educator, every volunteer, and every supporter who helps carry this mission forward with love, compassion, and urgency for kids who need extra care.

We 💚 New Deal!!
This STUCO crew raised $1,000 for FOUND. last year … and today they came to serve behind the scenes. They got to see what that $ can do!

Today’s Big Heart Bash was a beautiful experience on so many levels!!
It started out with a great word “Today we are celebrating the power of service.”
We got to celebrate with so many in the room who have given hundreds of hours of their time to serve in our community.
Then we were invited to sit at a table with CASA South Plains and The Children's Home of Lubbock in the “Giving Circle.” The Volunteer Center of Lubbock’s HYPE program chose the three of us to receive incredibly generous monetary donations!!
We are incredibly grateful for this city, these people, and the future we share because of the hours served and the commitment to continue.
