These outstanding Lubbock
Roosevelt ISD seniors completed an application and interview process, and we are proud to recognize them for their hard work, leadership, and dedication.
To our seniors — we thoroughly enjoyed getting to hear about your plans, passions, and goals for the future. We are excited to see each of you use your talents to pursue your dreams and make an impact in this next chapter of life.

The following students competed at an underwater welding competition held in Abilene. Reese Roberts, Haiden Jackson, and Nik Herrerra represented the team. Reese and Nik both finished in the Top 20 on the first day of competition and advanced to the welding portion on day two. While they did not place on the second day, only 3 of the Top 20 competitors successfully passed the weld test — making their accomplishment something to be very proud of.

Congratulations to the following students who competed at the Applied Ag Engineering Contest. Jesus Macias, Derek Rojo, Reese Roberts, and Diggs Bland finished 2nd at area qualifying for state. Jesus, Derek, and Reese also finished in the top 15 as individuals at the area contest.

The UiL Social Studies team capped off a great year, finishing 4th as a team in Class 3A at the State Academic meet at UT-Austin today. Jolie Hildebrandt was the top individual, finishing 10th. We look forward to seeing what this group can achieve next year!

At Monday night’s school board meeting, newly elected member Travis McCallister and re-elected member Tanyan Whetzel were officially sworn in to begin their new terms of service! Congratulations to both as they continue their commitment to serving our students, staff, and community.
