Today! Join us for our second meeting in F&W101. We will have Keith Blair come talk to us about the importance of prescribed burns! we’ll also have free food!

Our second introduction of the day is our Secretary, Austin Ibarra!

“Hi everyone, my name is Austin Ibarra. I am a sophomore from Steamboat Springs, Colorado. My favorite thing that I have done with SAFE is the chainsaw training. It was awesome to learn from an experienced professional. The thing that I find most interesting about fire is the behaviors it shows when burning thru fuel. It displays so many amazing patterns. I am excited for a great year with lots of SAFE activities!”

This weekend, some members and students in the prescribed burning class went out on an awesome burn in Ozona, TX! We got to learn from a bunch of experienced burners and help a land owner maintain his land!

SAFE Meeting tomorrow at 6:30 PM in Goddard 207! We will be speaking with 2 national SAFE officers, Noah and Emily! Food will be provided, and dues are still being accepted!

Our second meeting is tonught!! We will see y’all at Goddard 207 (the plant id room)

We can’t wait to see everyone at our 2nd general membership meeting of the semester! We have an AWESOME speaker, a TTU NRM alumna, Paige Purvis with the Texas A&M Forest Service!

Come by, eat some great food, and learn about another job in fire from someone who has been where we all are!
