Well, that’s a wrap on a day spent on great things with some great students! We are so proud of what we accomplished this year! The robot served us well (as did the spotters and drivers), the marketing team rocked on professionalism and got some good feedback for next year’s presentation, and the booth was a hit, especially the poster about Borger and what we manufacture and the Subway poster that Brycen has decided never to part with. Did you know that there are more Subway restaurants in the world than McDonald’s? 🤯
Coach Denton and I couldn’t be prouder of the work these students put in and are forever grateful for the help from Jeremy Vass and Phillips 66. Can’t wait for spring to get to work with some of these kiddos again!

We came, we saw, and we did AWESOME! We came in 11th out of 30 teams!!! Our kids did a great job - we are waiting to hear if we qualify for the finals, but, as of right now, we have 220 points overall. We also got some good ideas for next year! Our drivers were: Brianna Vass, Kaden Yarbrough, Aaron Elliott, and Adam Frederick. Our spotters were Irvin Ramos and Nathan Orcutt and the drivers also spotted. Good job Bulldogs!!!

It’s BEST Robotics competition day today!!!! We’ve worked really hard and had some great help along the way! Big shout out to Jeremy Vass for mentoring our students and teaching them some amazing skills! We are so excited for today-we start the day off with our marketing presentation with our students who have taken on leadership roles: Aimoree Stevens, our head honcho, Brianna Vass and Kaden Yarbrough, design and construction leaders, and Joleigh Stevens, our booth creative director. They will present our product to a panel of judges and then will answer questions. Y’all wish us luck!!!

We are starting our 2022 season with a bang at Lubbock High! Robotics students have been working really hard on this year’s Best Robotics theme, Made 2 Order - we are making a robot that helps with mass production. This year, we are attending the practice meet for a test run (driven by Brianna Vass and Aimoree Stevens and run with a program created by Leif Nelson). we are excited about everything this year and can’t wait to compete in November!
Congratulations Brian and Dee Ann Stevens!
