Are you experiencing knee pain when squatting?
Here’s a few things to think about:
- Limited flexibility at your hips and ankles can limit how low you can squat and affect your form(heels coming off the ground, knees going inward) and create muscle imbalance
- Bending at your back or knees first instead of hinging at your hips will cause improper form and could contribute to pain
- A more cushioned shoe, like a running shoe, can make it harder for you to stabilize and grip the floor with your feet as you squat.
The type of shoe you wear for strengthening exercises can improve your form.

As the temperatures get colder outside it can be harder to remember to drink enough water.
Adequate water intake helps to stabilize blood pressure, lubricate and cushion joints, aid digestion, and promote many, many other health benefits.
Drinking half your body weight in ounces of water each day is recommended.
That amount can sound intimidating but you really just need to start somewhere! First, make sure you know exactly how much you’re taking in, and try to gradually increase.
You will reap the benefits over time! Small, consistent changes like this can make a big difference in your health.

“More than a conqueror”…..sounds great…but what does that look like in my life?
I once heard it said that it means you are completely assured of your success before you even enter a battle.
And in my life I know that learning how to humble myself before God and admit my need for his help in the midst of trouble has shown me that I can still see victory in the midst of trials.
Humility and trust in God above all else can give him access to operate in our lives in greater ways than we could ever imagine.
So yes, as we learn and grow we can face any new difficulty with the expectation of God’s goodness working through it when we rely on him.
He loves you and has great plans for you.
Just don’t give up.❤️

We have easy access to the personal opinions of others in regards to most things in life today.
I know I use likes, shares, reviews, and general popularity as a way to pick out the “best” option for a purchase or activity all the time.
And with that being so common, I think we have to be careful not to let the judgement of others, whether through social media or another outlet, also define the way we value ourselves.
Others opinions of us, expressed online or in person, are just views based on their own life experience. They in no way determine who we are as people or our true worth.
An important lesson in life for me was that my need to gain approval from others was caused by my lack of understanding of the fact that I’m already completely accepted and loved by God through Jesus.
God’s love for me never changes, no matter what I do, and it is deeper and sweeter than any kind of human love or affection.
It is the only love that will never fail you.
So pursue his love first and you’ll find the peace, assurance, and acceptance you’ve been looking for.

Stretching is an important part of a regular exercise routine for optimal health.
It is often needed to help address muscle imbalance and resulting pain or stiffness that can occur, which is especially common at the neck and/or back.
But, feeling stiff in certain areas is not always the result of just “tight” muscles.
Weakness, especially in anti-gravity muscles or those that help hold you upright, can create muscle imbalance and tension as well.
Regular and focused strengthening of the muscles in or closest to the center of your body can often help decrease continued tightness or tension at the back and neck that is unrelieved by stretching.
