๐จ๐จDT's magical season ends in the Elite 8๐จ๐จ
By all accounts, this season could be called magical or storybook in many ways.
It's hard at times, but in every contest somebody has to win and somebody has to lose and as tuff as it was last night, the 2026 DT teams season closed out in the Elite 8 against a very talented #3 seed in Medfield. We wish them well in the Final 4!
After losing major fire power from the previous season, 2026 looked to be a rebuild and see what happens type of season. That changed early on. You could feel it with this amazing group of kids.
When you see three freshman in, #9-Nate Purtell, #14-Jake Vigeant and #31-Greyson Blakley stepping into starting roles, key game situations and logging major minutes for 23 games, you can start to look back and see how special the 2026 season was for DT hockey.......the players, fans and coaches.
Coming out of the gate, 8-1-1 and outscoring opponents 41-12 in those first 10 contests showed the coaches and the league that DT was going to be a contender this year.
The second half of the season was even more impressive as DT went on a 12 game win streak and amazing offensive play led by Senior Captains #12-Charlie Wilkie & #13-Brenden Modeski.
The D core logged major minutes all year and helped star goaltender #31-Blakley have a GAA under 1.00 for the season in 22 starts. #9-Nate Purtell, #17-Chad Vigeant, #3-Ben Haubner, and #24-Jake Meeker.............held the blue line down all season.
There were plenty of moments and photos that captured the essence of the best single season record in program history at 19-2-2 overall, #12-Wilkie hitting the 100 point mark and Coach DuRoss and his staff hitting 100 wins in their 10 year history.
The league took notice.............
DT is proud to announce league awards for their players and coach DuRoss.

"Blakley blanks Norton"
In the MIAA DIII Round of 32, Dracut-Tyngsbroro came away with a 6-0 victory behind the strong play in net of Freshman Goalie Greyson Blakley who stopped all 15 shots he faced against Norton High School Thursday night at the Tsongas.
Assistant Captain and crowd favorite #17 Chad Vigeant got the white out themed crowd on their feet in the first with a nice snipe to put DT up 1-0. The boys didn't look back and ended the contest up 6-0 after 3 and a ticket to the Sweet 16.

๐จ๐จDT nets their 17th win of the season๐จ๐จ
It's hard to believe that we are at February 19th already and the final week of MIAA winter sports regular season hockey. It feels like we just celebrated Thanksgiving and the boys were prepping for the 2025-26 season, new sticks, sharpened skates and lots of hope for the season ahead.
After a long couple of months and 20 games, the winter was a good one for the Dracut-Tyngsboro varsity boy's hockey team, families, fans and local supporters.
Last nights W over D4 powerhouse St. Bernards, moved us to 17-1-2 for the season, a pretty awesome accomplishment all around.
NZ did a great job with the write up:

Good effort by the loyal DT fans last night with the neon theme. Gonna need to bring it to the Tsongas next week when Round 1 of the playoffs open up!
๐ Shout out the Jimmy Graham who was named TSMHL Player of the Week. Jimmy is from Dracut and a GLYSA skater. DT nation might recall Jimmy has been a Puck Pal for the past two seasons! Way to go Jimbo!!!!!
