Emerging Imaginations Academies is seeking a qualified and caring GSRP Lead Teacher to lead a Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) classroom. The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded, nationally recognized, Pre-K program for 4-year-old children.
The GSRP Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the GSRP grant. Key Responsibilities
• Plan and implement C4L curriculum aligned with GSRP standards
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Use child assessment data to guide instruction and support individual learning needs
• Maintain required GSRP documentation, lesson plans, attendance, and child portfolios
• Ensure classroom compliance with all GSRP policies and procedures
• Build positive relationships with families, including conferences and required home visits
• Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development
We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education or related
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with early childhood endorsement or eligibility under GSRP requirements
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Meets all Michigan GSRP Lead Teacher qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous GSRP or preschool teaching experience
• Strong classroom leadership and communication skills
Work Environment
• Active classroom setting with preschool-aged children
• Requires standing, bending, lifting, squatting and hands-on engagement
• Follows the GSRP school-year calendar
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
