The TIHC is an education partnership between Lowell National Historical Park and the University of Massachusetts Lowell School of Education.

We offer school field trips and teacher professional development. We offer unique field-trip programs and teacher workshops that incorporate hands-on activities and the authentic resources of Lowell National Historical Park. Hands-On History: Weaving & Working on the Line is coming right up on September 12th. Drop in between 1-4pm to learn to weave. You will also have a chance to join an assembly line to see what it was like to work in the mills. This program is free and open to all ages. It's a chance to celebrate the City of Lowell, MA - Government's bicentennial and our Center's 35th anniversary.

Our September Mindful Weaving Workshop is on Thursday, September 3rd. Come relax with us at a 4:30pm session or a 5:45pm session. Don't miss our next Hands-On History: Weaving & Engineering happening on Saturday, August 8th. We've been enjoying meeting lots of new people this way who come to learn to weave. This Saturday, you will also have a chance at tackling an engineering design challenge. It's a great activity for families! Drop by between 1-4pm.
