As I look back over my grief journey, I thank the Lord for how far I've come.

2023 is my year to practice "Good Grief".

As I've openly shared June 7, 2018 my life changed forever. My husband passed at this very place. Today was my first time back.

I visualize the beach exactly as I left it, the ambulance, the people in shock, and the paramedics carrying my husband away, and my late Aunt Wendy arriving to comfort me.

I hadn't returned to a beach at all in 5 years, until a few months ago (St. Simmon Island, GA), and today I returned here.

I am not my grief, there is life after.
Thank you so much Carla for taking me to practice my "Good Grief".
