Higher education matters. Proud to join a few of our UofL trustees at the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education Trusteeship Conference. I also enjoyed joining fellow university presidents for a conversation about turning ideas into action and the future of higher education in Kentucky.

Today was a great opportunity to step away from the day-to-day and spend time together as a team. Thank you to UofL Sports Performance for leading our team-building activities and to General (Ret.) Bryan P. Fenton for joining us and sharing his perspective on leadership and teamwork.

I’m proud of this group and the work we’re doing together to move UofL forward. Go Cards!

Thank you to our Cardinal community for joining me at another town hall - this time at our HSC campus. As we addressed the budget, pay and health coverage, thank you to Rick Graycarek, executive vice president for finance and administration and CFO, for your time explaining how the budget is developed. We’ll be back next month on UofL’s Belknap campus.

Proud to meet Martha, a UofL student who is gaining valuable experience in Frankfort as an intern. Opportunities like this give our students a firsthand look at government and public service.

There’s nowhere else I’d rather be on a Saturday other than cheering on our Cardinals! !

Ending the week strong! I enjoyed joining a panel discussion on workforce and economic development with University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto and Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg. UofL and UK are key pillars supporting Kentucky's educated workforce and economic development. Our impact as Cardinals reaches well beyond our zip codes.

Kentucky is stronger when we work together. I was pleased to welcome University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto and the UK Board of Trustees to our Belknap Campus yesterday. Our two universities have an important role to play in helping Kentucky move forward.
