Kindergarten Signing Day 2026

09/19/2026

On September 17th we celebrated Constitution Day. Our scholars participated in a school-wide assembly where they learned while July 4th commemorates the birth of the United States, this date recognizes the signing of the United States Constitution on September 17, 1787 establishing our formal government and the framework of laws.

We as a MicroSociety Magnet School celebrated with our annual Inauguration of our newly elected Cardinal City government officials which include: Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chief Municipal Court Judge, Sergeant At Arms, City Treasurer, and City Secretary.

These scholars were sworn in by LMPD’s own Sergeant Taylor, JCPS Resource Officer Simpson and JCPS Risk Assessment Coordinator Mr. Mitchell.

We are preparing our MicroSociety to be in full operation after Fall Break around mid October. More information to come!

JCPS national test scores began falling as technology expanded, and a state audit found Chromebook use often “did not support high-quality instruction.”

🗳️ The votes are counted! Our 4th and 5th grade scholars just wrapped up their MicroSociety Magnet Government campaign and election, and wow, what a show of courage and leadership from every candidate! 🌟 Congratulations to all who stepped up to run — your willingness to participate in democracy in action is truly inspiring. 🎉 Stay tuned because more positions will be opening up soon, and we'd love to see even more of our amazing scholars get involved. Democracy looks good on you! 🇺🇸✨
