🔬🧬 Linked 4 Success - STEAM Counts Program 🧬🔬

The Linked 4 Success 2026–2027 program serves students in grades 6–9 and is designed to strengthen STEAM knowledge, academic achievement, communication skills, and awareness of career opportunities. This year, their emphasis will be on health literacy and healthcare careers, using culturally responsive, experiential learning to engage students in areas including anatomy and physiology, nutrition and wellness, mental and behavioral health, disease prevention, public health, medical technology, healthcare ethics, environmental science, and emerging healthcare professions. 🩺🧠🌱

🎓 Admission to their FREE program is simple.

Students must be in 6th-9th grade and have transportation to Neighborhood House:

📅 Program Dates: October 3, October 24, November 7, November 21, December 5, December 12.

The Golden Eagles have taken the All A regional title in just their third year as a program! 🏆

After battling to a 0-0 tie at halftime, Shawnee completely took control in the second half to secure the historic win. 😤💪

🧬SCIENCE IN ACTION AT SHAWNEE! 🦅

This past Saturday, two of our Shawnee Explore Pathways Ambassadors joined their Healthcare Science teacher, Ms. Cobb, for an incredible educational opportunity at Bellarmine University!

The AMGEN organization invited a select group of schools to participate in this hands-on experience, where our student-scientists learned to use specialized laboratory equipment. 🔬✨

Why? Because they’ll put those new skills to work as lab assistants when AMGEN visits Shawnee later this fall! 🧬🧑‍🔬

We are SO proud of our Golden Eagles for taking their learning beyond the classroom and stepping into real-world science experiences! 🦅👏
