A citizen sector education technology organization founded in 2001.

Recognizing that technology provides an equal playing field, YTF’s mission is to create enriched learning communities where the use of technology affords education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities for at-risk, low-income youth and girls. YTF’s vision is that access to technology and education should be a basic human right, and that technology should be used as a medium to educate, f

Fall in love with work that matters. ❤️
Work that builds skills. Work that sparks imagination. Work that changes lives.

Here’s Kaema showing her 3D printed cupcakes: a small project that represents something much bigger: access to technology, confidence in making, and the belief that young people can design the future they want to live in.

We are grateful for everyone who pours care into their craft and stays committed to improving systems so opportunity is not limited by geography or background.

This is what loving your work looks like.
This is what investing in the next generation looks like.

✨ THANK YOU for showing up on Giving Tuesday! ✨

Because of your generosity, encouragement, and belief in our young people, we are able to continue opening doors to education, technology, and opportunity.

Every donation, every share, and every message of support helps us equip girls and youth with the digital skills, confidence, and creativity they need to shape their own futures.

Your support is more than a contribution — it’s a signal to young innovators that their dreams are worth investing in.
And that impact doesn’t end today. It grows in classrooms, in communities, and in every young person who now feels seen, supported, and inspired.

From all of us at YTF:
Thank you for believing in this work. Thank you for believing in them. 💗

Let’s keep building a world where every young person can access the opportunities they deserve.

✨ This Giving Tuesday, I’m reminded of why we do this work.

Look at their smiles.
This is what possibility looks like.
This is what dignity feels like.
This is what happens when a young woman realizes she is seen, supported, and capable of shaping her own future.

At Youth for Technology Foundation (YTF), we don’t just teach skills — we open doors. We invest in girls and women who are brimming with talent, creativity, and leadership.
We meet them where they are, and walk with them toward where they dare to go.

From digital literacy to entrepreneurship…
From AI training to 3D printing and design…
From economic resilience to community leadership…
Your support fuels the transformations — big and small — that ripple through families, communities, and generations.

On this , we are asking you to stand with us.

Stand with young people who are rewriting what’s possible.

Stand for opportunity, equity, and the belief that brilliance is everywhere — but opportunity is not.

Every gift, every share, every moment of advocacy helps us reach one more youth, girl…one more young woman
…and gives her a reason to smile just like this.

Join us. Create pathways.

Let’s build a world where potential is never wasted.

Give boldly: https://www.youthfortechnology.org/donate-to-ytf/

Starting today, we’ll be opening the YTF archives — sharing a series of photos and videos from our journey. These aren’t just memories. They are evidence that investing in young people is not a gamble. It’s a strategy.

Each image holds a truth larger than any one of us:
when youth are given access and agency, they don’t just participate, they lead, they innovate, they change the world.

Join us this week as we revisit the moments that built the movement — and continue to shape the future.

Literacy is a fundamental human right. ✏️

This year, International Literacy Day highlights literacy in the digital era, enabling people to access, understand, evaluate, create, communicate and engage with digital content in a safe, inclusive and appropriate way.

We’re celebrating the power of digital literacy — the ability to access, understand, create, and engage with technology in meaningful and safe ways.

We equip youth — especially girls — with the digital skills they need to thrive in school, in work, and in life. Because when young people are digitally literate, they don’t just keep up — they lead.

Enabling the shift toward technology skills will require public-private collaboration to ensure that schools have both the infrastructure to enable digital learning and the job market insight into the technology skills that will be most relevant to employment in the future.

Youth for Technology Foundation – Empowerment through sustainable use of technology 08/17/2025

The theme, “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond,” reminds us that the most transformative change often begins at the community level — where young people are reimagining what’s possible.

We listen to the bold ideas of young people. They know their challenges and they have the solutions. Our role is to listen and walk with them as they co-create change in their communities.

Meet 3 social innovators using tech to empower the next generation 08/17/2025

At Youth for Technology Foundation (YTF), we’ve seen firsthand how youth-led innovation drives systemic impact. From Nigeria to Kenya and beyond, our young changemakers are not only learning digital and entrepreneurial skills — they’re applying them to create solutions that fuel sustainable development:

Building small businesses that uplift families and communities.

Harnessing technology to improve access to education and healthcare.

Inspiring peers to take bold action for climate, equality, and opportunity.

The World Economic Forum recently highlighted organizations like YTF and Thaki, alongside the Global Shapers Innovation Prize, that are empowering the next generation of innovators. Together, these stories prove that when youth are trusted, resourced, and connected, they don’t just participate in shaping the future — they lead it.

Creativity Meets Code, Play Meets Purpose.

At YTF’s 3D Printing Academy for Girls and 3D Africa, learning is anything but ordinary.

We believe that when girls and youth are given access to digital tools, playful learning environments, and real-world tech, they don't just learn — they create, lead, and thrive. From designing prototypes to solving community challenges, every moment is a chance to turn imagination into impact.

🌍 This is more than STEM — it’s storytelling through design, confidence through making, and joy through discovery.

Declared by the UN in 2014, July 15 celebrates the power of youth and the importance of equipping them with skills for employment, entrepreneurship, and a future that works for everyone.

This year’s theme, "Youth Empowerment through AI and Digital Skills, "couldn’t be more aligned with the work we do at Youth for Technology Foundation (YTF).

At YTF, we believe that young people are not just beneficiaries of technology; they are builders, innovators, and changemakers. That’s why we’re equipping youth across Africa and beyond with the AI and digital skills they need to thrive in a fast-changing world.

As AI reshapes economies and societies, we must ensure no one is left behind. On this World Youth Skills Day, let’s commit to a future where every young person — regardless of geography or background — has the opportunity to learn, lead, and create.

✨ The future is now — and it’s youth-powered.
