Beginning at Forecastle in 2008 as a comfortable place for parents to breastfeed, change diapers, learn about birth options while their children could enjoy music, art and activism like the rest of the festival, the SPROUTS crew continues to nurture with nature and provide information,activities and hands-on learning. Attended the Celebrate Midwives Picnic at Brown Park this afternoon. Lots of nice round bellies, babies, children of all ages, mamas and papas and of course, MIDWIVES! Good to see all. There were some freshly painted faces due to the talents of Emily Ferry. If anyone has pictures from the picnic, please share with us. It was a good time despite the last minute appearance of a heavy rain storm and a little hail.

We had a wonderful time at Doulapalooza. So good to see all of the children, the moms and dads, the doulas and other birth professionals. The weather and the ambiance was just right.
