Congratulations to our Quick Recall Team on their incredible 2nd Place finish in the Mayor’s Cup! 🏆💜💛

Quick Recall challenges students to think critically, work as a team, communicate effectively, and build confidence under pressure. Through competition, students strengthen academic knowledge, leadership skills, and friendships while learning the value of dedication and teamwork.

It has been such an honor to serve as the team coach and watch these students grow, support one another, and represent our school with excellence. We are so proud of their hard work and accomplishments!

Students explored art history through a creative Pastiche assignment by recreating famous paintings using simplified geometric shapes and layered paper techniques. This project helped students strengthen skills in shape recognition, composition, color relationships, proportion, and visual problem-solving while encouraging them to analyze how artists build images using basic elements of art.

For grades 6–12, assignments like this support critical thinking, creativity, fine motor development, and artistic interpretation while introducing students to famous artworks in an engaging, hands-on way.
