Through the years, his wire sculpture representations of both popular and iconographic sneakers have made not only an impact on urban culture, but, have clearly chart a course, in terms of breaking the mode of artistic development and expression. Curtis Anthony’s sculpture isn’t alchemy, yet there is a magic to his creating from such an unknown medium. Curtis Anthony is a self taught sculptor who specializes in the medium of wire. He uses 32 to 16 gauge wire of all colours. These may include contemporary sculptures, commissioned works, wearable sculptures, logos, awards, etc. Each piece of art is hand-made and mind designed; meaning that, there are no templates to work from. Other elements can be specifically incorporated into each piece.
