βš“ New Horizons Ahead! βš“

After inspiring young learners in 3rd grade, Mrs. Bixler is charting an exciting new course at APS! Beginning next school year, she will bring her creativity, curiosity, and passion for learning to the Innovation Lab, where she'll help students explore, create, and discover in new ways.

Congratulations on this exciting new role! We can't wait to see the impact you'll make as you help our Anchors navigate new horizons. πŸ’™βš“

βš“ Welcome Aboard! βš“

Please join us in welcoming Kelly Peters to the APS crew!

With 21 years of science teaching experience, she is excited to share her passion for inquiry-based learning with our middle school students. Originally from Maryland, she has enjoyed exploring Louisville over the past seven years and loves reading, trying new foods, and spending time near the water.

When she's not in the classroom, life is beautifully busy with her husband and their nine-year-old triplet boys.

We're thrilled to have Mrs. Peters on board and can't wait to see the impact she'll make at APS! πŸ’™βš“

Mrs. Whitlock recently celebrated a milestone birthday with a magical trip to Disney World and is now headed off to National Air Camp for Teachers! We can't wait to see all of the amazing photos from her adventures.

This summer, we'd love to keep up with our Anchors, too! Whether you're attending camp, traveling, exploring a new hobby, participating in the Superintendent's Reading Challenge, or making memories with family and friends, we'd love to see what you're up to.

Share your photos and a brief description with [email protected] for a chance to be featured on our social media channels. Have a great summer, Anchors! β˜€οΈβš“

Closing day always brings a mix of gratitude and reflection. πŸ’™

As we wrapped up another wonderful school year, Ms. Wallingford surprised staff with framed candid photos from throughout the year. A simple gesture that reminded us of the students, coworkers, memories, and moments that made this year so special.

Sometimes it really is the little things.

Happy summer, Anchors! β˜€οΈβš“
