Today our one-year-olds had so much fun exploring their very own β€œfox den”! 🦊✨ (aka a tunnel!) The children practiced going in and out, building confidence with movement and learning how to take turns with their friends. This activity supported their gross motor development, spatial awareness, and social skills.

After their adventure, the children got creative making their own foxes! They glued on pieces of paper, which helped strengthen their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. πŸŽ¨πŸ–οΈ

We love watching our little learners explore, create, and grow through play every day! πŸ’›

Today our little artists explored creativity
by finger painting a deer! 🦌🎨

Finger painting helps one-year-olds develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sensory awareness as they feel and move the paint with their hands. It also encourages self-expression, creativity, and early recognition of shapes and animals.

We love watching their imaginations come to life! πŸ’›

🌟 Letter of the Week: D 🌟

Our toddlers had so much fun practicing the letter D! Using dot markers, they dotted along the letter and talked about words that start with D like dog, duck, and donut. πŸΆπŸ¦†πŸ©

Activities like this help build fine motor skills, letter recognition, and early literacy while letting our little learners be creative. We love watching them learn through play! πŸ’™

πŸ‘βœ‚οΈ Toddler Fun: Sheep Shearing Day! βœ‚οΈπŸ‘

Our toddlers had so much fun pretending to shear sheep today! First, they practiced their fine motor skills by β€œshearing” cotton balls off their little sheep. Then they used glue to stick the fluffy cotton balls back on, giving their sheep a brand new wool coat.

This activity helped build hand-eye coordination, creativity, and sensory exploration while learning about farm animals. The toddlers loved making their sheep extra fluffy! 🀍

πŸ’™ April is Child Abuse Prevention Month πŸ’™

At Butterfly Garden Academy, the safety and well-being of every child is our top priority. Child Abuse Prevention Month reminds us all that protecting children is a shared responsibility within our families, schools, and communities.

By raising awareness, supporting families, and creating safe, nurturing environments, we can help every child grow, learn, and thrive. Even small acts of kindness, patience, and support can make a lasting difference in a child’s life.

Together, we can help build a brighter, safer future for all children. πŸ’™

πŸ’§πŸ‘Ά Water Sensory Fun for Our Infants! πŸ‘ΆπŸ’§

Today our infants explored water sensory play! Using small containers and a shallow bin of water, the babies enjoyed splashing, pouring, and feeling the cool water with their hands.

Sensory activities like this help support early development, encouraging curiosity, hand-eye coordination, and exploration through touch. The smiles, giggles, and little splashes made it such a fun learning moment for our tiniest learners! πŸ’™
