LCHS Health Science students hosted our 2nd annual Teddy Bear Clinic with 1st & 2nd grade students from our district.
These students were invited to bring a teddy bear or stuffed animal from home to bring to the "clinic". When they arrived, the students checked-in their teddy bear then were able to visit 6 different stations: handwashing, vital signs, eyes, ears, and reflexes, medications and vaccines, dental, x-ray and first aid.
The goal of the Teddy Bear Clinic is to teach young children of what could happen during a doctor or dental appointment, so they will not be afraid the next time they go to an appointment.
We had a great day and are so thankful for the teachers for bringing their students!
