Day TWO of All in for Ag Week!
LCHS HOSA hosted 5 stations at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds today in the cold & rainy weather. 10 senior students volunteered their day to teach all BES, FES, and LWES students about vital signs, HOSA, the importance of water, handwashing, and about the 3 health science career pathways at LCHS: CNA, Dental Assisting, and Pharmacy Technician.

On Friday, HOSA officers hosted a wear purple/teal day for Su***de Prevention Awareness. They also passed out su***de prevention stickers to every student at school! ***depreventionawareness

LCHS HOSA hosted 5 stations at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds today for All in Ag Week! 10 senior students volunteered their day to teach all LEES students about vital signs, HOSA, the importance of water, handwashing, and about the 3 health science career pathways at LCHS: CNA, Dental Assisting, and Pharmacy Technician.
We had a great day and are ready to do it again tomorrow with BES, FES, and LWES!

Today we partnered with Kentucky Blood Center and hosted our first blood drive of the school year. We had our most successful blood drive to date, collecting 43 usable units!
Way to save lives, LCHS!! 🩸🐾❤️

Reminder to LCHS Students: Blood Drive is THIS Wednesday! If you are 16 or older, at least 110 lbs, and healthy-then you can SAVE LIVES. Sign up on your "class of" google classroom page. If you are 16, see Mrs. Adams for a parent permission form!

Our internships are up and running! The 1st semester pre-nursing internship students are at Jordan Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, our pharmacy technician students are at Three Rivers Medical Center, and our dental assisting students are at Dr. Marc Lester's office & at Valley Health-Fort Gay.
These students get to intern for 2-3 hours per school day learning hands-on from healthcare professionals. We are so thankful for our community partners and the opportunities they provide for the students of Lawrence County!
Pre-Nursing Internship Students: Georgia Jude, Preslie Laney, Anna Fitch, Kara Spillman, Payton Ratliff, Hayden Boggs, Leah Branham, Natalie Simpson, Kayli Jackson.
Pharmacy Technician Internship Students: Abby Pridemore, Abby King.
Dental Assisting Internship Students: Charly Curnutte, Dakota Thornsbury.
