Congratulations Cooper!

Congratulations Cooper C. on being chosen as last week's Northwestern Mutual Player of the Week presented by Brandon Millard. Cooper has been a valuable member of the LHS golf team throughout his time at Loudon High School. He has had a great career, and we are proud of his efforts on the course and in the classroom. Congratulations Cooper!

We had a fun Senior Night and last home match at Toqua last night! Thanks to Samuel Everett for letting us play a scramble match so our kids could have some fun!

It was great to celebrate Alex, Cooper, and Boston! So many people to thank, I apologize if I forget anyone.

We appreciate Toqua golf course for letting the team have a place to practice and play!
We are blessed with a nice course, and their kindness is appreciated!

Thank you to Coach Brandon Bunn for all he has given to the program. He started when Cooper and Alex were Freshmen on the team, so they are his first kids to have all 4 years with. He has certainly contributed to making them and the other golfers better at the game!

Thank you to Mr. Scott MacKintosh and the Athletic Dept. for always supporting LHS
Golf. Even when his son Ben graduated, Mr.
Mac has continued to come each year and support the team. You won't find a better Principal around!

To the numerous financial supporters of the golf program, THANK YOU! You have helped keep our program going, and we could not have done it without you!

Thanks to all of the family, friends, and supporters who have came to cheer the team on this season, it has been a hot one, and we are so thankful for you all.

To every player on our team, THANK YOU for your hard work this season. We are so proud of each and every one of you. The years we had kids at state, the year we won District, the team meals, the tough matches, the individual accomplishments, the team wins, and the leadership... it all was important and made our team successful! You are all responsible for the culture of LHS Golf, and we are so proud of you and you should all be proud of yourselves! Stay the course, and keep the program top notch as we know you can!

To our Seniors- thank you for being great Ambassadors for the program and for your contributions to the team on and off the course. From Alex's team record low at Lakeside and winning A LOT of matches this year, to Cooper's unexpected Freshman trip to the State tournament and making history as the only Freshman to go to state as an individual, you have literally put your names in the record books for LHS Athletics. Congratulations!

To all of our players playing on Monday at District- good luck and keep it going! We are cheering for you all and know you will do your best! Let's get some players on to the Region and State Tournament!⛳️♥️🤍

Please see below.

Lenoir City was supposed to be one of the teams to play at our match tomorrow at Toqua, but they have a golfer who lost a sibling suddenly this week and the services are tomorrow so they will be unable to play. We raised money as a team to have flowers sent to the service, and have let LC's Coach Andy to please let us know if LHS Golf can do anything for their hurting team. We may be rivals on the course, but we send them our condolences and prayers this week.

Love and Prayers to you LCHS Golf, and Coach Pennington. ⛳️🧡♥️

Not how the Golf team wanted things to go at SubDistrict today, but every match is different and our kids played with their heads high. They were gracious to the other teams, they supported each other, and represented Loudon High School well.
We had 4 boys and 1 girl score high enough to move on to District next week as individuals. They will now play against each other along with the other teams to try to get to Region. It's a tough road, but we have seen kids make it to State as individuals a couple of times the past 4 years, so keep cheering for our team!

As a team, tomorrow will be the last match for the Redskins, and it is at our home course Toqua. PLEASE come out and support our Senior golfers! We want to celebrate everyone, our team culture was great this season. That is something to really be proud of in High School sports, it's becoming more rare. Hope to see everyone there! ♥️🤍⛳️
