That concludes the CVA Class Fall of 25/26! We are so proud of all your accomplishments! From all the cute little paws and claws that walked into our classroom to our fun field trips exploring the different fields in veterinary medicine. Also, a big shout-out to the Fragile Planet Wildlife Park for hosting us in December and enlightening our students in the field of wildlife animal medicine! Here are some pictures that highlighted their journey this past semester.

Today our CVA students traveled to the Gladys Porter Zoo for a behind-the-scenes look at the diverse species that inhabit the grounds! Students were given opportunities to have close encounters with the animals and gain advise from their attending veterinarian on Zoo Veterinary Medicine.

Meet our CVA class of 25/26!

🐾 Meet Champ – Our First Patient! 🐾
Say hello to Champ, the adorable pup in the photo and the very first patient of LFCISD’s Veterinarian Science Practicum Course! 🐶✨
This hands-on program is designed to give students real-world experience working with animals, helping them build the essential skills needed to earn their Certified Veterinary Assistant, Level 1 IBC. From basic animal care to clinical procedures, students will learn how to support animal health and welfare under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Champ is helping pave the way for future veterinary assistants, and we couldn’t be more excited to see our students grow into compassionate, skilled caregivers. 💙
📚🐕 Whether it’s grooming, feeding, or learning how to assist in exams, this course is a stepping stone to a rewarding career in veterinary medicine.
