Tomatomania started in the early 90s at Hortus, a trendsetting Pasadena nursery. I helped build the event while working there. After the nursery closed I bought the trademark and started to produce events outside that site. Now almost exclusively a CA event,

This year has been a marathon, not a sprint.
12 to 15 plants in our upper Valley test garden are still producing. The plants & the fruit don't look amazing, (as it should b๏ฟผe), but it's still happening!
I picked Green Giant today because it's very hard to tell when this one is ripe. ๏ฟผ This one doesn't flush yellow when it's ready like many of the other greens.
So I will make some green tomato salsa this afternoon and not wait for it to soften!

We're grateful for our unorthodox beginnings, all of our history and for all of you.
