Thank You Bill! I’ve been arguing this for some time now… best actor for the job should GET the job, period. It’s called acting for a reason. I really hope casting will go back to finding the best talent and stop walking on eggshells in fear of offending - these are NOT documentaries and we are not anthropologists, we ARE artists… actors playing roles. By definition, the ACTOR is ACTING the part. if we can bring out the psychological nuances and humanity of the character and suspend the disbelief of the audience into accepting what they’re watching and escaping into that world for a brief moment, allowing them to feel and see something that otherwise would not be a part of their daily lives is the MAGIC of movies, theatre, television- ACTING!
