Week 2 of the Magnetic First Impressions 30-Day Challenge starts now! ✨

This week, it’s all about reconnecting.

Your challenge: Reach out to 2 people already in your network—a former classmate, professor, mentor, colleague, alum, or professional contact.

A simple “Hi, how have you been?” can be the start of a meaningful conversation.

Ready to keep building your network? Connect with fellow Golden Eagles on Golden Eagles Connect.

A new academic year means new opportunities to give back 💛🖤🦅

Last weekend, Carlos Illingworth (’04) returned to Cal State LA for New Student Convocation, sharing words of inspiration with our newest Golden Eagles as they officially began their journey as part of the Cal State LA community.

It was a full-circle moment, and a reminder of the impact alumni can have when they share their time, experiences, and expertise with the next generation.

As the 2026-27 academic year gets into full swing, we invite our alumni to find their own way to give back. Whether you mentor a student, volunteer at an event, join an alumni network, serve on a committee, or share your professional journey, there are countless ways to make a difference.
