DOGGIES!! 🐶 Today, our AIA Student Council got to volunteer at Los Angeles! Our scholars got to meet some special four legged friends and share their favorite books with them!

Thank you to Ms. Krakowsky and Ms. Bonnie and the other volunteers who made this such a special day for our student leaders!

After a busy day with the wonderful doggos we did a scavenger hunt and enjoyed some lunch! 😊

LEADERS TAKE RISKS! On this THRILLING THURSDAY our Student Leaders went on a leadership retreat to try something new…Rock Climbing! 🧗‍♂️ Their eagerness, grit, and tenacity encourages and inspire me everyday! Grateful to create magical memories together!

FANTASTIC, FUNKY, FRESH, FRIDAY! 🥳 One of my favorite parts of my day is visiting with scholars and team members as they learn and play throughout the day!

I am grateful for another in 4th grade! I am celebrating our scholars growth as learners and engaged citizens. My heart is full of gratitude as I think about the incredible team who supported our gorillas and tigers! We did this work as ONE PACK.

CONGRATULATIONS MS. DAVILA! 🤍👩🏻‍🎓Celebrating this incredible educator today! For the past 10 months I have had the extreme pleasure of being able to work alongside Ms. Davila as part of the Alder Graduate Program!

Ms. Davila holds a special place in my heart because I have had the honor of watching her educational journey from the very beginning as an IST member to resident and now a certificated teacher! I admire her growth mindset, ability to build strong relationships with all community stakeholders, her professionalism, and her equity mindset when it comes to empowering students! Being her mentor has been a highlight and point of pride in my 10 year career in education. I am so incredibly proud of her and so excited to see how she sparks creativity and curiosity in the lives of others! Her future students are so lucky to have her!

During the month of May we uplift Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Today, 4th graders learned about the diverse AAPI neighborhoods that make up Los Angeles! Which one have you visited? 🇯🇵🇵🇭🇨🇳🇰🇷🇹🇭

During I want to recognize a teacher who truly makes a difference and brings joy to our scholars and team members…Ms. Davila! Ms. Davila brings out the best in her students to ensure they are empowered learners and leaders! 💜
