Nothing says summer like a little Shakespeare Al Fresco - join us Friday at 6 pm or Saturday at 2 pm at the Village Green for our 5th Annual Ren Week production!! This is honestly one of our favorite weeks of the year - it's so much fun gathering with our dedicated and passionate teen ensemble on Monday, knowing that by some miracle and a LOT of hard work, we'll have a full show by Friday! We still have a few more spaces left in Summer with S*F - what better way to spend a week!! Our Players have so much fun exploring the characters of Shakespeare that they don't even realize they are expanding their vocabulary, building literacy, strengthening their self-efficacy and critical thinking skills, and practicing collaboration!

It's time to get ready for Summer with S*F 2026 - if you know a child who would love to step into a world of imagination, laughter, and language, send them our way!!

In "Masks and Mischief," our Players will dive into the world of disguise, mistaken identity, and comic chaos as they bring Shakespeare’s most mischievous characters to life. "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" explores the fascinating world of Shakespeare’s messengers, letters … and love notes that change everything! Each week culminates in a joyful recital where friends and family can see the magic come to life on stage beneath the summer sky.

The curtain has fallen on Shakespeare Youth Festival LA 2026 - what a season it was!! Our Teen Rep ensemble did a stunning job with "Cymbeline" and "Romeo and Juliet" and our youth cast (for many, this was their first Festival) blew us away with "Comedy of Errors." We were thrilled to welcome a group of 40 high school students from Bravo Medical Magnet to our final R&J performance, and hope to have a school at every performance next year. Huge thanks to The Hudson Theatres for giving our Players such a lovely place to play! Next up - Summer with S*F!

Shakespeare Youth Festival 2026 opens February 28 with Cymbeline & Romeo and Juliet.

CYMBELINE - Can’t decide which is your favorite Shakespearean plot device? We’ve got ‘em all! Mistaken identities and secret marriages; banishment and betrayal, long-lost siblings; potions, prophecies, and divine intervention; murder, war … and a happy ending that ties up ALL the loose ends!

ROMEO & JULIET - A long-simmering feud between two rival families comes to a boil when young Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet try to step across the line drawn in the sand. One of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies, no matter how many times we see it, we still hold out hope that this time it will end differently.
