We’re moving right along with the sword fight we choreographed earlier this week. We started working on a pre-viz which means we’re sketching out the shots for the fight and putting them together in a rough edit. Also did some work on the script. Starting to come together!

The awesome was behind camera for this one. Has a great eye for action.

Here at A Fight A Day, we would like to mention a few of the reasons why it’s absolutely essential to hire Fight directors for projects.

1.) They are professionals. They know how to successfully tell violent storytelling.

2.) THE MOST IMPORTANT. SAFETY. When productions or projects neglect to hire a FD, injuries are more likely to occur.

3.) they understand how to successfully teach actors how to execute technique and choreography.

4.) They are designers. They are as essential to the project as other designers.

It’s !

Here’s a snippet of some of the choreo we did for our month long eastern styles class in June! It is always fun to experiment with new styles and put them together to tell a story!

Come check our next pop up class on Sunday August 19 from 5pm-7pm at Valley Village Park in NoHo. This will be another $5 class with all funds going to an organization that fights for children in need: Camp Kesem

Camp Kesem is an amazing organization that allows kids whose parents have or have passed away from cancer to spend a week away from their stressful home life and be with kids who understand what they’re going through. Founded in 2000 with only 40 or so campers, in the past 18 years they have grown to have 100 chapters in 40 different states.
