Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Futsal teams for winning the Copa de Bresee championship! 🏆Our VCMS teams preserved and demonstrated Grit and teamwork this season! We celebrate our VCMS athletes. Well done!

On Friday, we concluded our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month with
Grade level Potlucks! Students were invited to share a dish from their culture. This was a time students, teachers, and families to come together and learn about one another culture and build community!

Thank you to the families who brought dishes and volunteered their time! We appreciate you! 💕

Safety First! This past Thursday, October 16th, Vista Charter Middle was one of thousands of participants across Los Angeles county engaging in The Great Shake Out! ⚠️

The Great Shake Out is an international earthquake preparedness initiative and annual drill where millions of people across the country practice how to stay safe and respond to a potentially dangerous earthquake.

At VCMS, safety is our top priority. Shoutout to our team and students for ensuring a safe and successful drill. We work as a community to ensure a safe school community for all!

One of the key components of our school’s vision is being Student Centered! Earlier this week our team members engaged in professional learning that equips our teachers to best support our students inside and outside the classroom.

At VCMS, we are proud of our student athletes and coaches! As a student athlete, our students learn and demonstrate critical communication and collaboration skills. Check out these snapshots from our soccer and volleyball teams! GO EAGLES! 🦅

Last Friday, we had our for first Vista Ohana of the School Year! The theme of this past Ohana was “ Vista United: Many Nations, One Family” Ohana is a VCMS tradition that allows our community to come together and build community and deepen connections. Students participated in a World Expo, engaged in council, purchased items with their earned yellow tickets at the GEAR marketplace. To end our eventful day, it was Students Vs. Staff at Water Wars!

This week was National Supervision Aide Appreciation Week! We are grateful for Mr. Nick, Ms. Beltran, and Mr. Lue for helping fostering a safe and positive environment for all VCMS students! 😊👏🏼

Before the school year, we were lucky to add turf and grass to cover our fences. It’s been a wonderful addition to our campus that has been enjoyed by our students! Thanks grasstik for helping VCMS look great!

Everyday counts! 🗓️ Being in school = Being on track for success! ✅ Today, we had a surprise raffle for students who arrived to school on time! We hold attendance raffles every week so please make sure you get to school by 7:50am to ensure you are set up for success and have the opportunity to win a special prize! 🏆

This past Tuesday, we celebrated IT professionals Day! At Vista, we appreciate Mr. Angel Rodriguez for his innovation and problem solving to keep our tech running smoothly!
