Jeffrey R Darna - AANA Region 2 Director Hello, AANA Region 2! I am Jeff Darna, and I am pleased to serve as your AANA Region 2 Director. Jeffrey R. He received his Ph.D.

I look forward to strengthening communication, supporting our state leaders, and advancing nurse anesthesiology throughout the region. Darna, Ph.D., DNP, CRNA, ACNP-BC, FAANA, serves as the Program Director and an Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, Program of Nurse Anesthesia. Dr. Darna completed his acute care nurse pr

actitioner education at Yale University in 2003 and his nurse anesthesiology residency at Central Connecticut State University/Hospital of Central Connecticut in 2006. In 2013, he earned his practice doctorate from New York University, focusing on the transition of care in high-risk patient populations. from the University of San Diego, where his research concentrated on the impostor phenomenon in nurse anesthesiologists. His interests encompass healthcare policy, executive leadership, and training the next generation of nurse anesthesiologists to excel in perioperative care. Dr. Darna holds clinical privileges at the VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System. He is a past president of the California Association of Nurse Anesthesiology and has proudly contributed to several AANA committees and task forces.
