Growing up, we used to play tag on bikes in a small parking lot. Looking back, I honestly think that’s what made me such a strong rider.
Like a lot of kids from the ’80s, ’90s, and early 2000s, having a bike represented freedom. It was how we got around, explored, and experienced the world. During summers, we’d bike to swim in lakes almost every day — about a 30-mile round trip. And we loved every second of it.
I’m really grateful for those experiences, and I wish more people today still embraced biking not just as exercise, but as a true means of transportation and adventure.
And hey… if anyone wants to play bike tag, let me know.
