June is also PRIDE month; a month to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising of 1969—a response to police violence—that launched the LGBTQ movement. While the usual celebrations have been shelved (thanks, COVID) in place of parades, we are uniting in different and important ways but in the same spirit of justice as the first Stonewall. ⁠⠀
