🌿 What if summer could feel a little more like childhood used to? Trading Screen Time for Mud Pies, Nature & German!

While spending time in Germany, I was reminded why my daughter loves summer camp here so much. It’s not the fancy activities or nonstop entertainment…

It’s the freedom.
The fresh air.
The time to explore, create, get muddy, and simply be a kid. 🇩🇪✨

And that’s exactly the feeling I’ve been bringing to our German Summer Camp in Los Angeles:

🌱 long stretches of outdoor play
🐓 farm visit adventures
🎨 simple crafts & creative projects
🍳 cooking together outdoors
🥾 exploring nature
🤝 friendships — all while speaking German!

Because German immersion is about more than learning vocabulary. It’s about experiencing a different way of childhood: more curiosity, more independence, and more time to just play.

Our camp starts in less than a week — and there’s still time to join us! Families who register for all three weeks can still receive the original rate.

We can’t wait to welcome our campers! ☀️🇩🇪

I mean… I could go on and on about this!!!! Meine LRS-Klasse kann ein Lied davon singen. Wenn wir jede Woche Diktat üben, geht es nicht nur darum, gelernte Rechtschreibregeln anzuwenden, sondern vor allem auch darum, unser Gehirn ein wenig auszubremsen, so dass wir darüber nachdenken können, wie etwas geschrieben wird. Wenn wir uns dann noch die Zeit dazu nehmen, Silbenbögen einzuzeichnen, wird’s richtig toll!!! Wir sind Team „Mit der Hand schreiben“!

Meine LRS-Klasse auf dem Weg in den Park 🌿
Manchmal brauchen Kinder Raum, frische Luft und ein Wir-Gefühl, damit Lernen wieder leicht wird.

Lesen und Schreiben wachsen nicht nur am Tisch – sondern auch unterwegs.

LRS-Förderung bedeutet mehr als Arbeitsblätter: Wir gehen raus, wir bewegen uns, wir stärken Selbstvertrauen und Sprache im echten Leben.

Diese Gruppe zeigt jede Woche, wie Lernen aussehen kann, wenn Kinder Teil einer Gemeinschaft sind und der Spaß nicht zu kurz kommt 💛
