Our 5th grade class got to meet their 7th grade pen pals today! Students have been writing to each other and finally got to meet in person! Many of the 7th grade students are SPES alumni! We were so excited to welcome them back to campus and have them share their wisdom of middle school for our nearly graduated 5th graders! Students played games and bonded over pizza!! Shout out to the counseling department for setting the event up!! ¡Nuestra clase de quinto grado se reunió con sus amigos por correspondencia de 7o grado hoy! ¡Los estudiantes se han estado escribiendo entre sí y finalmente se han conocido en persona! ¡Muchos de los estudiantes de 7o grado son exalumnos de SPES! ¡Estábamos muy emocionados de darles la bienvenida de nuevo al campus y hacer que compartieran su sabiduría de la escuela secundaria para nuestros casi graduados de quinto grado! ¡¡Los estudiantes jugaron y se unieron con pizza!! ¡¡Un saludo al departamento de asesoramiento por organizar el evento!!

Biomedical science week was a great success! Shout out to our school’s very creative Einstein Committee! They had so many amazing activities including a detective case for who stole Ms. Botello’s cookie! Students used their knowledge of DNA, fingerprint analysis, and blood types to figure out the mystery! ¡La semana de la ciencia biomédica fue un gran éxito! ¡Un saludo al muy creativo Comité Einstein de nuestra escuela! ¡Tenían tantas actividades increíbles, incluido un caso de detective para quién robó la galleta de la Sra. Botello! ¡Los estudiantes utilizaron su conocimiento de ADN, análisis de huellas dactilares y tipos de sangre para descubrir el misterio!

Our K-2 students had the best Benchmark Pep Rally!! A special monster, Plory, came out to dance!!! Students played carnival games, blew bubbles, ate popsicles, and got some fake rock and roll tattoos!! We are ready to ROCK 🤘🎸🎉 the test tomorrow and Wednesday!

¡¡Nuestros estudiantes de K-2 tuvieron el mejor Benchmark Pep Rally!! ¡¡¡Un monstruo especial, Plory, salió a bailar!!! ¡Los estudiantes jugaron juegos de carnaval, soplaron burbujas, comieron paletas y se obtuvieron algunos tatuajes falsos de rock and roll! ¡Estamos listos para ROCKEAR 🤘🎸🎉 la prueba mañana y el miércoles!

Anything BUT a backpack day was very silly!! Great job STEM thinkers! ¡¡Cualquier cosa MENOS un día de mochila fue muy tonto!! ¡Buen trabajo, pensadores de STEM!

Last week was College Week! All week long students learned about different colleges and had some visitors from MSCP! We are so proud of our high school seniors sharing where they are going off to college next year! Thanks for inspiring our students! Shout out to Ms. Botello and the counseling department for putting this event on! ¡La semana pasada fue la Semana de la Universidad! ¡Toda la semana los estudiantes aprendieron sobre diferentes universidades y tuvieron algunos visitantes de MSCP! ¡Estamos muy orgullosos de que nuestros estudiantes de último año de secundaria compartan dónde van a ir a la universidad el próximo año! ¡Gracias por inspirar a nuestros estudiantes! ¡Un saludo a la Sra. This last week our SPES artists got to go visit our High School campus to check out their annual art show! Our SPES artists were so excited to see their art on display and were able to create! We love opportunities for our students to connect and inspire each other! ¡La semana pasada nuestros artistas de SPES visitaron nuestro campus de la escuela secundaria para ver su exposición de arte anual! ¡Nuestros artistas de SPES estaban tan emocionados de ver su arte en exhibición y pudieron crear! ¡Nos encantan las oportunidades para que nuestros estudiantes se conecten e inspiren unos a otros!
