Salmon Cut Rolls 🍣
I’m a big fan of cook once eat twice. Simple and easy.
Here’s what I did - salmon mixed with avocado mayo and a little sriracha, cauliflower rice sautéed with onions and zucchini, cucumber, and micro greens. Cut and enjoy!

The power of positive thinking ✨
For the past two weeks the moment I’ve opened my eyes I’ve told myself “today is going to be a good day” and I can honestly say it works. This doesn’t mean that all days are easy, each day brings new challenges but learning how to control the narrative has been such a game changer.

Tahini dressing - lemon, garlic, water & ice, EVOO, sumac, salt & pepper to taste

Lately, I've found myself overwhelmed with anxiety and fear as I’ve been watching life pass me by. I realized that this fear wasn't serving me. If anything it was holding me back from enjoying the present moment.
I've been focusing on getting out of my head and into my body. Taking action instead of over analyzing.
How can I be more present in my life?
When am I the happiest?
What makes me come alive?
What activities make me feel my best?
Which friends ignite deep vulnerable conversations?
I encourage you to explore these questions. Take the time to reflect on your inner state. It's so easy to get caught up in the news and to become hyper focused on preparing for the future but then you end up missing out on the present moment, the now.

IT’S OK TO TAKE UP SPACE
This is something that I’ve been working on recently. Taking the time to relearn that it’s ok to ask for what I need- unapologetically.
This applies to so many different aspects of one’s life. I used to feel like I was “too much” for requesting a GF DF meal or for asking restaurants to cook my food with olive oil instead of seed oils. The feeling of creating inconvenience made me feel guilty even when it shouldn’t have. I am beginning to understand that asking for what I need in order to show up as my best self is in fact not selfish. It’s about listening to my body, setting boundaries and speaking on behalf of my needs. I would always fear that waiters would get annoyed with me, roll their eyes or talk negatively about me to the other kitchen staff.
At the end of the day, requesting certain adjustments to my meal should not throw anyones day into a tailspin. Normalize asking for what you need.
