"Between Us" was directed by student filmmaker Pingwen Wang who is currently enrolled in the graduate program at Loyola Marymount University, School of Film and TV. As a female filmmaker, Pingwen is dedicated to telling women's stories from a female point of view and assembled a production crew in which most of the key members were female. In "Between Us" we find Ariel in the middle of an affair with a married woman, Tara. She realizes that she wants more than just a relationship driven by lust which is more than Tara will ever be able to offer. It's time to make a decision to move forward or finally draw things to an end. Come find out what she decides on June 7th ! For more information visit www.lastudentfilmfest.com

Kanye Kanye 05/07/2014

"Kanye Kanye" was directed by student filmmaker Miklas Manneke at the The South African School of Motion Picture and Live Performance. This insightful film takes place in a small township on the outskirts of Johannesburg, South Africa, where many years ago two best friends had a childish argument about which apple is better, the red or the green. The argument lead to the great division within the towns history. A big white line was drawn through the middle of the town and everyone who believed the green apple to be better would live on the right side of town in a green house, only wear green and visa versa. Fast forward to when Thomas a teenager from the green side falls in love with Thandi, a teenager from the red side. Can the couple's love overcome the social constraints? Come see at Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE on June 7th!
