Sometimes you don’t need to become a whole new person. You don't need a dramatic exit.️ Sometimes you just need to remember who you were before you started shrinking yourself for people who were committed to misunderstanding you.

Before the overthinking. Before the people pleasing. Before constantly explaining your heart to people who had already decided to see you wrong.
Before giving everyone else access to your energy while leaving nothing for yourself.

Sometimes taking your power back is choosing yourself in small, quiet ways every single day.
🚫️It’s realizing that you can love someone and still choose distance.
🚫You can forgive someone and still never give them access to you again.
🚫You can miss the old version of your life and still know you could never go back to it.

There comes a point where you stop trying to convince people of your worth and start acting like you already know it.

You stop chasing closure.
You stop begging for bare minimum effort.
You stop returning to places, people, and patterns that cost you your peace.

YOU take your power back.
Quietly.
Completely.
Without an announcement.
And never look back!

I used to think loving harder would make people love me better.
So I overgave. I overexplained. I overforgave. I poured into people who never reached for an empty cup of mine.

Then one day I realized...
The lesson wasn't to stop loving.
💕THE LESSON WAS: To stop abandoning myself.
Not everyone deserves unlimited access to your heart. Not everyone is meant to go where you're going.

And protecting your peace isn't being cold, it's finally respecting yourself.
Healing isn't becoming someone who loves less. It's becoming someone who loves with wisdom, boundaries, and discernment.

Today, I choose me. Not out of selfishness, but because I can't pour from a soul that's constantly running on empty.
