Happy Pancake Tuesday!! Learned today that is also Shrove Tuesday, which in some Christian traditions, is a day for self reflection and recommitment to striving for spiritual growth. 🙏🏾🥰

Hey! 😐 Who's been messing with my Valentine's Day cookies?? 😡 Every other one says "Bite Me!!" 🙄 And WHYYY are they greeeen??? 🤔

All jokes aside, there's still time to get Vegan Valentine's Day treats delivered from Acooba's Kitchen if you're local or local-ish.

We're offering our usual cookies - Choc Chip, Snickerdoodle, Double Chocolate Chip - as well as a few extra treats for VDay, like:
secret kiss cookies
red velvet cupcakes
vanilla cupcakes
midnight velvet cupcakes
German chocolate cupcakes

Cookies are $18 for a box of six; Cupcakes are $22 for a box of six.

If you can't decide what to get, you can get a VDay surprise collection for $25 (small) or $40 (large).

Delivery is free within 10 miles of Downtown LA for purchases over $75. Otherwise, delivery is $25.

Not what I was planning to post this morning, but this photo I snapped at dinner last night called out to me as I tried to scroll by 😂 so, ok then!

This was improvisation (socially distanced / shutdown) sushi - as in, what do I have that I could sushi?? 🤔

Only had a handful of brown sushi rice, so got jiggy with some Jade Pearl rice. Fillings were avocado 🥑, Just Egg, spinach leaves and carrots. At .scott's suggestion, we made some "breakfast" rolls with Just Egg, Spinach and vegan cheddar 👍😂. Guess I'll post my avocado French toast tomorrow, lol. (I'll drop a tease in my stories in the meantime.)

So last Wednesday was a wrap on my series. I really enjoyed it and today I'm feeling a little bereft! 😭 So.... Thinking about reviving the midweek cooking adventure - should I do another series? Random cooking / baking fun? How about a class making these beauties next? It would be totally last minute to do it today, so - how about tomorrow?? 😂
Thursday 12/3/20 Pacific Time on IG Live. It's a date! We're going to make delicious vegan biscuits together. Yay! Let me know if y'all wanna cook along and I'll send you the ingredients to have on hand. I'm so glad we worked that our! I feel much better now 🥰

Today is National Peanut Butter Fudge Day 🙌🏾 A few years ago, posted a peanut butter fudge recipe and I was inspired!! 😍 I added a shortbread crust, and chocolate ganache topping and roasted peanuts, because, well, I'm extra like that. 😂 I tell this story because I'm using this occasion to respond to .scott's objection to what she calls my "cake pie binary." I'm on a mission to prove my dedication to and passion for unity AND diversity in eats!! Bear with me y'all!! (And uhm, can I get a witness??) +Fudge+Chocolate+Nuts ☺️ How's that for compromise ? 😁

So... came up with a brilliant strategy to get me over to the Pie Side. She created this MASTERPIECE!! 😍 Chocolate shortbread crust, peanut nougat-ish, chocolate mousse, ganache and peanut caramel. Who could resist?? Definitely not me! One of the best, most satisfying things I have ever eaten!! (Pie Side) | 🏃‍♀️(me)

You know what, cheesecake is pie, right? Like technically? Ok, maybe I DO like pie!! 🥰

Ok, I was totally not kidding about being surrounded by pie people. This is what my daughter did one holiday. So. Much. Pie!! 😂 Bear with me... I'm on a pie roll!! 😁

So... Confession time... I'm a cake person. There, I said it. I'm a cake person - living in a family of pie people. We all agree on cookies though 👍😀 and apple pie cookies bring ALL the Scotts to the yard. 🙌🏾Except right now. 🤔 Cause it's a pandemic. 😡 Ah well, we can dream of apple pie cookies. 😊 In our respective isolation bubbles. 😭 Ok, I'm just going to stop talking (typing) now. 😐
