It’s Sunday night and you’ll find me sautéing plants. Plant based diets are on the rise-rise-rise and mindful eating is all about smart choices and presence when you eat.

3 superfoods to add to that salad you’ll eat for more energy, empathy and expansiveness this week:
1. Pumpkin Seeds. Nutritional powerhouses with a a variety of nutrients. An excellent source of magnesium, aka the chill-out mineral, since it plays a role in regulating our stress response system.
2. Black Pepper. I grind on salads, sautées, soups. Has multiple benefits including improving digestion, providing relief in respiratory problems, is an antioxidant, antibacterial, etc.
3. Sunflower Seeds. Rich in magnesium, vitamin E and B1, truly a healthy heart seed!

Where is your reset spot? Put your happiness first. Hold your vision. Despite challenges, fears and obstacles. Your triumphs and disasters shape you. Strong-minded people focus on growth and personal development. Never underestimate the power of intuition, your mindset, a conversation.
Take a few minutes today for this calming 4 - 7 - 8 breathwork exercise. Breathe in through your nose from your diaphragm to the count of 4, pausing for a count of 7, and slowly exhaling through your mouth 👄 to the count of 8. Repeat.

“Aruba, Jamaica, oooh I want to take you…..” While you may be dreaming of a getaway to experience deep rest, start by focusing on sleep at home - and not just by wrapping yourself up in some marigold yellow marshmallow soft sheets.
What does your relationship with sleep look like? You're definitely not alone if you are experiencing sleep issues! Healthy sleep is a favorite productivity and mood brightener! Quality sleep promotes ease in practicing self-development, taking initiative and building resilience –all in a time that requires such extraordinary digital fluency!
Some of my Tips:
Make meditation a daily practice. Create a culture of honest feedback. Get high quality advice on those tough decisions. Listen to a bedtime story via your favorite app. Learn mindfulness practices to interrupt those patterns that no longer serve you. Try drinking some tart cherry juice (which is known to improve sleep in people with insomnia thru promoting tryptophan). Commit to a 7-minute daily workout. Reframe negativity and bring love into the equation. A healthy diet is so important! There is a correlation between solid sleep and a greater sense of optimism for the future.
