Dear student Jean has a restaurant in downtown LA. His heart and soul. Meat, seafood, vegan options, all exquisitely flavored. Gourmet foodie food at affordable prices. They handled my dietary restrictions with ease. Outdoor seating, happy hour, catering too. Please support the next time you are downtown!🎶♥️🎶

So proud of student for her work. “You are everything to me…” This song encapsulates so much beauty, tenderness, sharing, connection. Gotta focus on the light, the love. Beautiful voice, beautiful heart, Tisha.

MLK edited from “Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence,” April 4, 1967

...Some of us who have already begun to break the silence of the night have found that the calling to speak is often a vocation of agony, but we must speak. We must speak with all the humility that is appropriate to our limited vision, but we must speak. Perhaps a new spirit is rising among us. If it is, let us trace its movement, and pray that our inner being may be sensitive to its guidance. For we are deeply in need of a new way beyond the darkness that seems so close around us.

We are called to speak for the weak, for the voiceless, for the victims of our nation, for those it calls “enemy.” Speak for those whose land is being laid waste, whose homes are being destroyed, whose culture is being subverted. Speak for the poor.

If we are to get on to the right side of the world revolution, we as a nation must undergo a radical revolution of values. we must rapidly begin the shift from a thing-oriented society to a person-oriented society. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights, are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, extreme materialism, and militarism are incapable of being conquered.

With this powerful commitment we shall boldly challenge the status quo and unjust mores, and thereby speed the day when “every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain.”

We still have a choice today: nonviolent coexistence or violent coannihilation. We must move past indecision to action. We must find new ways to speak for peace and justice throughout the world. If we do not act, we shall surely be dragged down the long, dark, and shameful corridors of time reserved for those who possess power without compassion, might without morality, and strength without sight.

We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now.

Now let us begin.

Now let us read dedicate ourselves to the long and bitter, but beautiful, struggle for a new world.

No matter what happens in the future, and what transpired in the past, this is a beautiful moment. Things have been So Hard. Biden Harris, you challenge and inspire me to live in the present moment. For now, it’s okay.

When you are vocalizing and having a hard time hitting the high notes, try doing a little jump, landing the jump on the highest note. Gives a little ab thrust! Who couldn’t use a little ab thrust here and there? Of course keep the throat, jaw, everything else relaxed! 💪😍🎶

My Atwater Village neighbor who is a clothing designer and has had to close her shop due to coronavirus, is making Beautiful fabric facemasks. They are double layered So you can stuff a paper towel in between, which would prevent Coronavirus from getting through to your face. They are $10 each and washable. TheY come in kids as well as adult sizes. There are some with elastic ear loops, and some with string ties.

The gray mask is made of a thin corduroy material, which I really like and might be good for the more minimalist types.

If you have extra income, she would love the support.

Www.peasandqueues.com is her website.

Thanks for reading! Thanks for The virtual hugs! @ Atwater Village, Los Angeles

I used to think that I and everyone I loved was invincible. That all changed when my dear mother was diagnosed with and passed from stomach cancer in 2017. She was the healthiest person I knew, the hardest worker, the most stubborn fighter, and yet, she could not beat it.

The thought of losing another loved one is terrifying. And yet, thousands are being lost all around me. Every loss is no doubt creating immense suffering for many more. That suffering is a feeling I am familiar with.

Let us do what we can to mitigate the suffering for all beings. Sending love, prayers, and gratitude to those doing what I cannot.

So moved by dear student ’s original song, “Knew You for a Moment,” which plays at the end of this film. The movie itself is also incredibly moving, as is Abby’s acting performance. I watched it on the plane recently. I could barely hear it as I was using my very *basic* Bluetooth headset in one ear only. But it got to me. Abby, you got to me.

“What did you look like
I never really got the chance to see you
Come to think, I never really knew you
What did you sound like
I heard you scream the second that I left you
You know I never really meant to hurt you
I missed you on the plane ride over
I saw you in the middle of the ocean
I knew you for a moment
I knew you for a moment”
